Uncontrolled ventilation from buildings can account for up to 40% of a building's heating energy losses
Our ATTMA Certified testing experts can perform air permeability tests to provide test certificates for new builds and diagnosis reports for retrofit
Why use a blower door test?
There are two types of uncontrolled ventilation losses that come from building:
Infiltration Losses
These occur when the wind blows
Buoyancy losses
These occur even when there's no wind, if warm air can escape from the top of the building, cold air will be drawn into the building.
An air permeability test measures the uncontrolled ventilation in a building (in air-changes-per-hour) and allows for leak detection to help find the source of the leaks.
Our Team
Our team are Certified ATTMA Level 1 and Level 2 airtightness testers, and conduct tests on new-build and existing buildings across north east Scotland.
Benefit from our design expertise
Smoke testing, to identify and trace leaks, comes as standard and customers can expect to benefit from our extensive building knowledge and retrofit design experience to help diagnose problems and develop solutions quickly.
